Below is information from Hawaii Public Radio. Are they giving their listeners in Hawaii all of the facts about the craziness taking place concerning the death of a protester in Minnesota? When this person, (aka peaceful protester) Alex Pretti, decided to dance with the police on that unfortunate day in his life, while carrying a gun, Pretti shouldn't have expected a good outcome...especially knowing that this same person obtained a broken rib while being involved in another scuffle with ICE a week earlier. This guy should have chosen his battles wisely. He lost his life in effort to protect illegal, and in some cases, very dangerous people who are illegally here in America.
FILE - U.S. Rep. Jill Tokuda and DWC colleagues meet to talk about domestic violence awareness and the impacts of the health care crisis and the Republican shutdown on women and families on Oct. 16, 2025.
The killing of a second U.S. citizen by Immigration agents in Minnesota in less than a month prompted a wave of demonstrations across the nation.
Hundreds gathered in Honolulu on Sunday in response to the killing of Alex Pretti, the second American citizen to be shot by an ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) officer.
U.S. REP. JILL TOKUDA: We have to remember a life was lost here, a young man, an ICU nurse for our veterans, cared for those who sacrificed so much for us, he lost his life, and we cannot forget that first and foremost. And to really bring him justice, to do his life justice, we must immediately look at making sure there's a fair, thorough, unbiased investigation. You cannot ice out local and state law enforcement. It has to be a collective effort, everyone making sure the truth comes forward and people are held accountable, and then we cannot have any more Alexes or Renees. De-escalation is absolutely critical. Get ICE, get Customs and Border Patrol out of Minneapolis. Get them out. They are the problem. They are the problem. De-escalate so we don't see more deaths, more injuries, more shootings in our streets right now. Immediately, these are the things that must be done: a thorough investigation, de-escalate the situation, get out of Minneapolis, and then right now, as we know, our Senate counterparts have some big decisions to make, but they can make sure we don't continue to give a blank check to Kristi Noem to allow her to continue to do what she's been doing.
Jill, these are the problems that you, and people like you, won't address:
Problem #1: The people here in our country illegally need to be sent back to their own countries. Since they are here illegally, then they themselves have committed a crime.
Problem #2: The illegals in our country are voting, illegally, in our elections. This needs to stop-as many democrats are probably being elected because of the illegal votes. Only US citizens are legally able to vote. This means that people who are here illegally cannot vote in our elections. It's why democrats don't want photo ID and proof of citizenship being required from every one who votes in our elections. Elected representatives who don't want photo ID, proof of citizenship and one-day-voting basically want cheating/dishonesty to decide who is elected and become the people's representatives...right Jill?
Problem #3: The illegals in our country are receiving an enormous amount of taxpayers dollars that support them with the cost of housing, food, etc. Along with taxpayers dollars being used to educate illegals in our colleges, and taxpayers dollars that will be spent on them when the need for medical care is required. This needs to stop ASAP...then transfer those taxpayers dollars, that are no longer being used for illegals, to help the millions of American citizens that currently need assistance.
So, Jill, why do you avoid looking at the 800 lb. gorilla in the room?
Click on the image above to hear former Mayor Mitch Roth, back in 2024, explain how a certain number of homeless people were sent back to the mainland to be with their families. I appreciated his response and he made me feel like homeless people will not be shipped to the middle of the ocean and dumped there, but will find a safe place with families, etc. back on the mainland.
Yeah, when I was donating blood on Maui, I was really surprised to her the hawaiian looking female donor stating that she wished the homeless would be shipped to the middle of the ocean and dumped off there.

You state while homelessness across the country was at an all time high, Hawaii lowered the homeless count by 28% according to a recent Point-In-Time homeless count. Can you please provide the most recent homeless count to show the immediate return on the investments in the providers and enhanced services? And also, can you identify the names of the providers and the enhanced services? Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you, Hawaii County, HI

So, if the State of Hawaii is able to send a large group of homeless people back to the mainland to be with their families, why are the democrat states refusing to return people, who are not legal citizens and have entered America illegally, back to the countries they are from? For the life of me, I just can't figure this out. Maybe I should have gone to college.
